Backcountry skiing can encompass a wide range of experiences. Yo-yo skiing for the day, or summit attempts, or multi-day travel, and often in varying snow conditions. To build a ski worthy of doing any or all, one might start with the Voile Vector -  wide enough for powder, narrow enough for quick response in tight couloirs, rocker enough to handle deep mank, camber enough to handle hardpack. Add in the Hyper construction and this versatile ski drops 15% in weight, always a quad-saving feature. Add in Voile's BC base with a Nordic ski type traction pattern, and the miles that can be covered without resorting to full skins will take less time. Congratulations, you just designed the any snow, any terrain backcountry ski, the Voile HyperVector BC. Sorry, pinners, but the Hyper construction means AT binding only, no telemark bindings.

  • Traction pattern scaled base means you only need skins on the steepest climbs
  • Very light, a 177cm pair weighs under 6lbs (5lb 11oz)
  • Sidecut in 177cm is 130-96-114mm; sidecut is proportioned in each length
  • Sizing suggestion/skier weight: 154cm/90-140lbs; 164cm/110-150lbs; 171cm/110-150lbs; 177cm/120-190lbs; 184cm/140+lbs
  • Construction of Paulownia wood laminate, Carbon weave, rubber foil, and an anti-ice topsheet
  • AT bindings only, use of quiver killers or telemark bindings will void warranty
